Fiber-optic Probes

UV-transparent probes for surface fluorescence detection
  • reusable for biotechnological and medical applications
  • sterilisable
  • miniaturised
  • highly sensitive

Principles of operation:

The fiber-optic probes consist of standard multimode all silica light guides protected in bifurcated tubing. They are to be connected with the Laserfluoroskop by standard SMA-connectors. The distal probe tip is integrated in stainless steel cannulas which make the probes robust and ensure a long-term handling. A careful selection of the materials used to assemble the probes makes them sterilisable by steam or ethylene-oxide.
